Rima Amalo
Qualified Tourist Guide Florence
I have always lived in Florence and here I have also done my history of art studies. I am very proud of them because I have had great teachers who have encouraged more and more the passion in me for this extraordinary subject. I am also very grateful for my humanistic training, because it is here where art has become the fruit of the human being, of an important period and is studied in connection to history, philosophy and poetry. I am now carrying on the job of a tourist guide since many years, a profession which has chosen me for the passion which art has since ever infused in me. I am very happy that this sublime job gives me the opportunity to meet people, humanity and to create a connection between them and the city and its master pieces, even a thread which is the passion for those things which are beatiful.Bringing other people closer to beautiful things makes me happy and gives sense to my life. Beautiful things make come out the best of us and can even transform us. I have an extended family, as, apart of my two children Margherita and Pietro, there is also my husbands' son Elianto. All of them are involved in my professional life, because, besides of being a tourist guide, I give cooking lessons at my place for foreigners, in florentine and italian kitchen. So, my house is transformed into a joyful Tower of Babel where people meet from all over the world.
