Pistoia  is a real surprise, it is an answer for tourists looking for a hidden 

jewel in Tuscany.  With its romanesque churches,  enchanting little squares 

and a rich historical past coexisting with beautiful works of contemporary 

artists, it is still very alive today. 

The extensive garden nurseries of the area are the reason for the many famous 

flower markets of the town centre. Surely you don't want to miss here a 

visit to a workshop still producing the medioeval sugar-almond dragee, 

called "confetto", with  a spherical irregular shape, that can be filled 

with almonds, peanuts, cocoa and even coriander.
